# Magic for the Whole Family in NYC

### Why Families Love Magic

Every family craves moments that can last for a lifetime — those rare moments when kids, teens, parents, and grandparents share the same sparkle in their eyes. Live magic provides just that. And it’s not just entertainment — it’s a shared emotional experience that draws generations together in pure wonder.

It’s wide-eyed discovery for children. For teenagers, it is the thrill of experiencing the impossible right before their eyes. Parents notice their kids gasping, laughing, hearts swelling with joy. And grandparents? They can feel magic revive once more, as they recall their childhood days when anything felt possible. Inside the showroom, illuminated by stage lights, everyone is suddenly a child again.

Which is why a live magic show in NYC is nothing like a night at a movie theater or a day in the arcade. The illusions don’t just occur onstage — they ripple through the audience. When a child takes flight in the showroom – literally floating on air - not only the child’s family but the entire room holds its breath. A borrowed shoe vanishes in a puff of smoke, and laughter hits three generations at once. These are never moments you can play back on a screen — just relive through memory and family storytelling.

And nowhere is it more true than the Broadway Magic Hour, the heart of family magic in New York City. Starring master magicians Jim Vines (Penn & Teller: Fool Us) and Carl Mercurio (Mohegan Sun), this show elevates the regular hour into a flood of impossible wonders, comic surprises, and heartfelt laughter.

Here, the magic is not just in the illusions, though, but rather in the ways families lean closer together, share whispers of amazement, and go away with a tale that will be retold in the years to come.

The Broadway Magic Hour is not just a theatrical production. It’s a very special kind of show – a throwback to an earlier era when families often sat together and had fun. These days, with true togetherness harder to come by than ever before, that kind of magic is priceless.
