Broadway Magic Hour: NYC's Times Square Magic Show for Kids & Families of All Ages

If you and your kids love magic  -- and who doesn't! -- you'll want to take note of this fantastic family outing that consistently ranks as the #1 Family Magic Show in NYC: the Broadway Magic Hour starring Jim Vines (North American Champion of Magic as seen on Penn & Teller: Fool Us) and Carl Mercurio (Mohegan Sun, Smoke & Mirrors Magic Theater).

If you've ever tried to get a kid or teen to put down their screen and go out on the town, you know you'll get grumbling, slow-walking, and eye rolling.

BUT... if you ask these very same youngsters if they'd like to see a MAGIC SHOW... they drop that screen like a hot potato and are ready to go!

Magic is one of the oldest art forms on earth, and it still charms, delights, and amazes audiences of all ages in the 21st century, just as it did centuries ago.  Throughout time, everyone has appreciated mystery, wonder, and we all crave seeing something that we just cannot explain.

Couple that with hilarious comedy, where the show itself has a real beginning, middle and end (ie, it's not just a collection of random tricks) -- and you get the hit Off-Broadway magic show the Broadway Magic Hour.

The Broadway Magic Hour has high production value: puffs of smoke, delightful sound effects, music tracks that get everyone tapping their feet... not to mention mind blowing sleight-of-hand, mind-reading, and even grand illusions!

Jim Vines and Carl Mercurio have been doing magic all their lives, and it shows. They are effortlessly in command of their stage, and the magic seems like it happens at will.  Their magic is so smooth and professional that you'd never know that everything in the show took years and years of dedicated practice to learn.  But that's what makes them master magicians: they make it look easy.

FAQ

Is the Broadway Magic Hour currently running?

Yes! The Broadway Magic Hour began its run in August 2024, and is still running strong today.  Now, more than ever, the world needs magic, so the Broadway Magic Hour aims to continue to fill the world (or at least our little corner of it) with world class magic as long as families want to come see wonderful, amazing, and inspiring magic.

When is the show running? (ie, dates / times)

The Broadway Magic Hour can be seen on weekend afternoons at the world-famous Broadway Comedy Club (318 W. 53rd St., Manhattan). The showroom seats 180 people maximum, and the magic show sells out almost every show. Therefore, reserving your tickets online ahead of time is recommended. Walk-ins can sometimes (but not always) be accommodated. So - to avoid disappointment, be sure to get your tickets early online.

Are snacks and drinks available at the venue?

Yes.  There is no "2 drink minimum" for the Broadway Magic Hour show. All snacks and drinks are completely optional. The menu is full of delicious and affordable snack and drink options to suit all tastes.

What time should we arrive at the show?

You'll want to arrive at the venue with plenty of time to spare before the show. Most seating at the venue is general admission, so the sooner you arrive, the more options you will have on seating.  Showtime is usually 2pm (check the schedule to confirm showtime of the particular date that you plan to attend), and doors open 30 - 45 minutes before showtime.  Strolling close-up magicians perform in the showroom before the main show begins, so this is your chance to see some amazing close-up magic that happens right in front of your very eyes before the main event!

What is the dress code?
